I have used this layout several times and though it's simple, but never fails to make the main stamp (dark green area) stand out. I do alter a little, depending on the sentiment required to be printed. The card below shows one of the cards I did using this layout, with a little bit altered as the sentiment "Happy Birthday" was too large to be printed in the dark brown area.
If you are using the suggested layout, you may further enhance it by using embellishment such as ribbons, below the sentiment tag, across the cream section, or if no embellishment used, you can also explore using pattern paper or stamp designs on it.
