How about a little change. Here's one of my favourite scrapbook page of my parents' wedding in the 60s. I have incorporated stamping to create some design for the otherwise plain card stock.
What I did was to stamp on the 12X12 cardstock with a background stamp using Versamark (Watermark). I use cream fine embossing powder only at the top and bottom of the 12X12 page with irregular shape, so that it's not too symmetrical.
For the patter paper, I just cut out the flowers and overlay it on the photo, as if it's vines growing over it.
