This is the fun part about stamping and scrapbooking! Brown paper is nice but too PLAIN. But that's where you can nicely decorate it using scrapbooking and rubber stamping technique. This gift wrap is simple as I only needed to add a nice tag to go along with the simple brown paper.
- Cut a large brown circle and medium blue circle. Ink the sides of the brown circle with watermark stamp pad (I use Versamark) and emboss it with silver embossing powder.
- Stamp R-A-I-N with watermark stamp pad and quickly embossed it with silver embossing powder. Use round puncher (craft puncher) to cut out the stamped alphabets.
- Stick blue circle over the brown circle.
- Place the alphabets R-A-I-N over the circle tag using foam tape (can easily get it in any craft stores or DIY shops) so that the name has more 3D effect.
- Use "happy birthday" rub-ons and place it anywhere on the tag (I like using Making Memories brand as it has good quality rub-ons).
- Punch a small hole at the top of the tag, set in a silver eyelet so that you can easily put in ribbons and it won't tear the small hole.
- Fasten matching ribbons with different colour and texture to make it more interesting.
